About Me
A native Long Islander, I now live in Manhattan's nose-bleed section. I'm a second-year law student at Fordham University and a staff member on the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. I studied Torah at Yeshiva University as a "chaver" (non-degree post-college Talmud study) and, before that, at Yeshivat Hamivtar in Efrat. I graduated Brandeis University in May '05 with majors in Philosophy and Judaic Studies. My undergraduate honors thesis, entitled "What the Rabbis Said to Socrates: Reading Rabbinic Literature in Light of Plato's Euthyphro", discussed how the rabbis of the Talmud and Midrash reconciled the Euthyphro dilemna and argued that they did so successfully. See my Euthyphro-related posts here, here, and here. Aside from philosophy and Torah, watch out for the occasional post about sports (Yankees or Rangers, depending on the season), politics, or law.
I'm an avid Seinfeld watcher, love comedy, and play chess. Some of my favorite books in no particular order: The Lonely Man of Faith, Halakhic Man, The Republic, The Brothers Karamazov, Law's Empire, The Odyssey, and The Complete Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. TV favorites, in addition to Seinfeld, include Law & Order (in all its varieties), House, and Scrubs.
